The MiniMed Flex™
The MiniMed Flex™ is a fully connected automated insulin delivery system designed to help simplify diabetes management. Controlled directly from a compatible smartphone through the MiniMed™ app, this insulin pump combines advanced automation with a compact design. Approximately half the size of other MiniMed insulin pumps, the MiniMed Flex pump holds up to 300 units of insulin.
The MiniMed Flex Insulin Pump is powered by advanced SmartGuard™ technology, an automated insulin delivery feature that continuously adjusts insulin and provides automatic corrections throughout the day to help protect against high glucose levels without increasing lows. The system also includes built-in Meal Detection™ technology, which identifies rapid rises in sensor glucose and can automatically deliver correction insulin for occasional missed meal boluses or underestimated carbohydrate intake.
For a more personalized diabetes Management management experience, the MiniMed Flex Pump offers flexible glucose target options of 100, 110, or 120 mg/dL. Once a target is selected, the system automatically works to help keep glucose levels within range.

What is the MiniMed Flex system?
The MiniMed Flex system is an automated insulin delivery system. It combines a compact, app-controlled insulin pump, SmartGuard advanced hybrid closed loop technology, a compatible continuous glucose monitoring (CGM) sensor, an infusion set, and the MiniMed app.
Is MiniMed Flex a fully automated insulin delivery system?
MiniMed Flex is an automated insulin delivery system that automatically adjusts basal insulin and can deliver correction doses as often as every five minutes when operating in SmartGuard mode.
How is the MiniMed Flex pump different from the MiniMed 780G system?
Both systems utilize SmartGuard automation technology. However, the MiniMed Flex pump features a smaller design, smartphone-based control, and a rechargeable battery.
Which CGM sensors and infusion sets are compatible with MiniMed Flex?
The MiniMed Flex system is cleared for use with the Simplera Sync sensor and is compatible with all MiniMed infusion set options.
How do I use the MiniMed Flex pump without a screen?
The MiniMed Flex is designed so you don’t need a screen. Instead, you will use the MiniMed app on your compatible device to view your data and make changes.
Can I use MiniMed Flex if I do not have a compatible smartphone?
Yes. Users without a compatible smartphone can use the App Manager CGM Receiver, which comes with the MiniMed app pre-installed.
WARNINGS:
Do not use the SmartGuardTM feature for people who require less than 8 units or more than 250 units of total daily insulin per day. A total daily dose of at least 8 units, but no more than 250 units, is required to operate in the SmartGuardTM feature.
Do not use the MiniMed FlexTM system until appropriate training has been received from a healthcare professional. Training is essential to ensure the safe use of the MiniMed FlexTM system.
Do not use SG values to make treatment decisions, including delivering a bolus, while the pump is in Manual Mode. When the SmartGuardTM feature is active and you are no longer in Manual Mode, the pump uses an SG value, when available, to calculate a bolus amount.
However, if your symptoms do not match the SG value, use a blood glucose (BG) meter to confirm the SG value. Failure to confirm glucose levels when your symptoms do not match the SG value can result in the infusion of too much or too little insulin, which may cause hypoglycemia or hyperglycemia.
