The G7 tracks glucose levels in real-time and sends data directly to your smartphone or the G7 receiver through the app—no fingersticks necessary.* It checks glucose levels every 5 minutes and stores up to 180 days of data for a big-picture view of trends. The Dexcom G7 app allows you to customize your alerts and includes "urgent low soon" alerts and even a quiet mode.

Like other CGM systems, the Dexcom G7® CGM System allows people with diabetes to easily view their glucose levels. While using this system, you’ll receive updates on your glucose every five minutes without having to deal with finger prick tests.*

How often must the Dexcom G7 sensor be replaced?
- Dexcom G7: Every 10 days (plus 12-hour grace period)
- Dexcom G7 15 Day: Every 15 days (plus 12-hour grace period)†
Is the Dexcom G7 10 days or 15 days?
Dexcom G7 now offers two wear options:
- Dexcom G7 (10-day wear) – FDA-cleared for ages 2 and older
- Dexcom G7 15 Day (15.5-day wear including 12-hour grace period) – FDA-cleared for adults 18+
Both sensors share the same app, receiver, and connected ecosystem, so patients and providers can choose the option that best fits their needs.

Adults 18+ with type 1, type 2, or gestational diabetes.
Is Dexcom G7 15 Day compatible with the same app?
Yes, both sensors use the Dexcom G7 app and receiver.
How accurate is Dexcom G7 15 Day?
Dexcom G7 15 Day has an overall MARD of 8.0%¹, slightly better than Dexcom G7’s 8.2%.
